We've got first donation from Anna Mikhaleva Levinson.This money will help to invite Great Great Granddaughter of Leopold Auer to come to the II Leopold Auer Competition in St. Petersburg Oct 14-19 of 2014.

Help Leopold Auer Society!!!!

The Society will promote the legacy of this great teacher, an incomparable pedagogue, the founder of the Russian violin school who, after 1918, become most famous teacher in the USA. He played at Carnegie Hall on March 23, 1918. In 1926 he joined the Institute of Musical Art (later to become the Juilliard School). In 1928 he joined the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.

Leopold Auer taught more than 400 students including Jascha Heifetz, Nathan Milstein, Mischa Elman, Konstanty Gorski, Toscha Seidel, Efrem Zimbalist, Georges Boulanger, Benno Rabinof, Kathleen Parlow, Oscar Shumsky, Paul Stassevitch, Sasha Lasserson, young Clara Rockmore ect…..

The Leopold Auer Society will collect all possible information about his family history, musical descendants and their history, with the aim of deepening our understanding of the incredible success of Auer’s teaching method. The Society will research documents about Auer , organize seminars, workshops, competitions, and festivals.

The main goal of the Society is to help talented young musician achieve success in their careers.
