I'm late with the update, I've been working a lot so I've found some time to let you all know how the consultation went. Athena needs surgery for both knees. Her left leg is much worse than the right but they both need repair. The surgery is called TPLO and they adjust the bone and put a plate in so the two bones come together in a better fashion. The surgery is quite common so I feel very positive about the outcome. The downside is she will have to undergo 2 separate surgeries and this doubles the cost. We appreciate all that you, our friends and family have done to help us. Please feel free to share this page on your social media networks to help spread the news and help Athena! As of now we have not scheduled the surgery since we now have double the amount to gather. I will update you all when we know more.
