World Cancer Day

Update posted by Denys Derzhavets

Dear Friends,
On the 4th of February is the World Cancer Day.
Needless to say, there is no family around the world that wouldn’t deal with this deadly and scary disease.
The World Cancer Day coincided with our fundraising to save a life of a 4 year boy Artem, son of our friends.
Buoyant, energetic and a little bit shy Tema has been bravely fighting with his frightening diagnosis – acute lymphoblastic leukemia since October 2014. The disease not only changed the life of Artem’s family, but it is a heavy financial burden for the both boy’s parents Julia and Ruslan.
All treatments, the expensive medications and the search for the blood donors in Ukraine are responsibilities of Artem’s parents. Unfortunately, without our financial support this family has no chance to save their son’s life.
My dear friend’s, this gesture of solidarity is the least I can do to express my empathy to Artem Kravchenko and all people who are going through the difficult and painful procedures to fight for their lives with cancer.
I admire the hundreds of our friends in Canada, USA, Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and Israel, all of those bighearted people who decided to help and already donated money for Artem’s treatment. With your generous help, my dear friends, we received more than $8000. Every cent and every dollar from this amount can be crucial in a very important matter – saving life of a 4 year child.
However, we need more of your help!
Any monetary donation is appreciated to save Artem’s life and to make the world cancer free for our children!
