Well after a slow start with fundraising, I opened the GoFundMe page on line at the end of November and have been amazed and overwhelmed with the response from friends and family, some that I haven’t seen for years.

 

I have also had friends offering to run marathons for my cause, which should take place later on in the year.

 

We  have a raffle taking place at my friends workplace, with some brilliant prizes that have all been donated.

 

Another friend is organising an evening with entertainment, which I will be letting you know the details of as soon as I know them. The proceeds of ticket sales will be going to my cause too.

 

Just this afternoon, there was a workman replacing some tiles in my bathroom and before he left, he gave me an amazing oil painting of Braunston church which he had done the previous day. I had told him about my fundraising and he gave the painting to me to auction…….how kind is that!!

 

So, it looks like I may be able to go for my first treatment within the next couple of months.

 

I have already been in touch with the clinic in Germany and am now awaiting their reply to agree a suitable date for consultation and following treatment.

 

I would like again to thank everybody who has helped in any way to enable this to happen.
