Thank you so much to all of you who have donated money towards our wedding celebration! We are full of gratitude and love!! Without you, we could not make this happen.

We recently held a private budget and planning meeting and, after exploring all of our options, decided to move the wedding location to our backyard in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland. We felt that we could better address the necessities for our celebration with this new decision. Our backyard fits perfectly with the outdoorsy feeling we've wanted for our ceremony (and was an initial contender for venue).

Any further donations are still welcome and much appreciated. It will all go toward making this a more memorable experience for everyone in attendance.

So now, finally, we are getting the paper invites out in the mail with as much expediance as we can muster up! We're very excited to have finally conquered our biggest wedding planning hurdles!

Now comes the prep work. We've developed a small team of friends and family to help make everything happen. (Let us know if you'd like to be part of that!) We're getting the yard ready. We're gathering chairs, tables, dishes, coolers, and decorations. We're planning the menu, coordinating the layout, debating about clothes and officiants. It's a total DIY wedding for two very DIY minded people who are loving it!
