Why I'm Fundraising

 

 

As a freelance journalist – I am not a full-time employee of a newspaper web-based publication radio or tv station –  there is no one entity that will pay my salary AND for my expenses to get to Florida, sleep in Florida, eat in Florida, get to and fro in Florida. Therefore, I must appeal directly to you, The People.

 

 

Why I'm Using GoGetFunding

 

 

You, The People,  made it possible for me go to Detroit to cover the trial of Renisha McBride’s murderer, for which I will be eternally grateful.  For this fundraiser, I have decided NOT to use GoFundMe due to 1) their support for the murderer of Mike Brown in Ferguson AND their harassment of Color of Change; as well as their support for a rapist/terrorizer of Black women in Oklahoma.  This is why I'm utilizing GoGetFunding to help me get to Florida.
