Blathie’s FIP and Giardiasis Treatment Fundraising 🐾

Hi, fellow pet lovers!

I'm Sela, a graduating working student from University of the Philippines. One of my furbabies, Blathie, a 1 year old tortoishell cat is fighting for her life as she got diagnosed with two diseases.

I was really sad that she got diagnosed with Giardiasis, a bacterial infection that targets the intestines. For her treatment, I already spent 20,000 pesos or around $400 which included the vet's check up fee, blood chem, and cbc.

Now, just last September 23, 2023 we were informed through another blood work that she has FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) which is a viral disease caused by Feline Coronavirus. I thought she was recovering and couldn't believe it myself.

FIP is a serious viral disease which is fatal. There was no cure before, but there's a recent developed treatment using GS vials which is costly. The treatment takes 84 days and needs to be injected daily. One vial will last for 5-7 days and costs around 2,500 pesos or $46.

Blathie also needs to undergo bi-weekly bloodchem which also costs 2,500 pesos or $46.

On top of these costs, she also needs Bcomplex injection and daily BeSame tablets which will cost me $120.

As the furmommy of two other pets and as a working student shouldering the costs for her treatment alone, I am struggling with the impact of the costs on my finances.

I am kindly and humbly asking for any support you can provide my baby girl, Blathie, as she fights FIP and giardiasis.
