Josh's brother died of a heart attack so i've had the great idea to get some money together and send it to Joshie (through Big Brother) since he quit the show to look after his family. It's not $250,000 (because Josh would have won!) but it will surely help him and his family to move on with there lives.

More info;

Popular South Australian Big Brother contestant Josh Moore has quit the reality series after the sudden death of his brother.

A Nine Network spokeswoman said Moore was called to the Captain's Quarters last night as the housemates were getting ready for bed, where he was told of the death of his brother Toby, 32, and taken to be with his parents Carolyn and Terry.

"Josh then spent the night outside the house with his family where he made the decision to leave the Big Brother competition and go home to support his family at this sad time," Nine said in a statement.

"The Southern Star production team and the Nine Network wish to express their sympathy to the family and ask the fans of Big Brother and the media to allow them privacy at this time.

"Further announcements about the Big Brother shows will come later today."

Early this afternoon it was confirmed voting for this week's evictions had been closed.

"In light of recent events, voting lines are now offline," a network spokesperson said.

"All voting revenue raised will be donated to The Salvation Army on the request of Josh and his family."

It is believed all challenges in the Big Brother house will be cancelled out of respect and that the other housemates will be informed of the reason for Josh's departure off camera.

Moore, a musician, had been one of the favourites to win Big Brother and had never been put up for eviction during his two months in the Gold Coast compound.

It is believed his brother died from a heart attack.
