Bergita, 94 Needs Clean Water. Please Save her from thirst.

Bergita Odeny Ogwang is a 94 year old Living in Ratiya Village, Bar Kowino Sub Location, Bondo Subcounty in Siaya County, Kenya. She is widow whose husband, a World War 2 veteran, died in 1983 and only son died in 2002 leaving her with no one to support her. She is currently cared for by well wishers who fetch water for her on occasions. The area she lives is dry and her biggest challenge is to get water that goes for about Kshs 40 per 20 litres. She is frail and cannot carry water on her own. Bergita is not the only old prrson in Ratiya village, but there are several others including children who cannot get clean water, many forced to walk over 15 kilomters in search of water.

A reliable water supply in her compund would save her and the village the trouble of fetching or buying water from expensive vendors.
