Believe in faith with RJ Sonsing

Roland Joseph S. Sonsing or simply RJ to his family and close friends is who I call KUYA (brother). He has always seemed to be one hell of a tough cookie because of his machismo built and manly appearance but deep inside, he is a tender loving person who is always ready to sacrifice and give whenever he can for the people he loves.

Kuya has been diabetic for more than 5 years but that did not slow him down to work perseveringly to provide for his 4 beautiful children ages 15, 12, 7 and 5 until he started to feel ill with various unexplained medical abnormalities such as feet edema, skin lesions, bloatedness and breathing difficulties. Last March 2019, he was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse and severe Obstructive Sleep Apnea on top of his Diabetes Mellitus. Since then, he has been in and out of different hospitals with different illnesses brought about by the culprit, Diabetes.

In January 2020, the worst scenario came that RJ felt so weak that he can't even get out of bed, stand by himself and walk. Hospitalized again, after all the blood works, scans, ultrasounds, x-rays and investigations, the doctors diagnosed kuya to have an Infective Endocarditis, an infection in the heart valve. Further evaluations reveal that an auto immune disease, Lupus, which attacks normal and healthy tissues started to set in. Kuya has to undergo more tests, Heart Bypass surgery with Mitral valve replacement. Auto immune disease treatments require long treatments, too. Even after all these procedures, there is still a long way for him to achieve full recovery and kuya needs all the support that he could get to get back to his normal life with wife and adorable kids.
