I will be graduating from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana with a first class and anticipated CGPA above 3.6 later in 2020.
I am studying for a degree in Biochemistry.
In my High school years when I had to travel out of my comfort zone to school, I realized that conditions out of my location were worse than I had thought. Upon this realization, I begun to look for ways that I could solve some of the problems I identified such as helping kids on the street, improve the status of life of others and probably help in their education. This transformed me so much to the current person I am. I now volunteer with many organizations with the hope that through the noble work I do, I can help society achieve the best. Currently, I am a volunteer for YES-GH and VOA, where I focus on Social empowerment of young people and differently abled individuals. I have been involved in projects ranging from teaching children and helping them to read and write to advocating for equal rights for persons with disabilities. I am motivated by a desire to improve access to social infrastructure, food and good healthcare for all and sundry and improve the quality of life of individuals especially youth in deprived areas.
In my early years in school I underwent mentorship by a professor who kept speaking about the field of biotechnology and how his team were using and applying it to achieve various successes in eliminating Styger disease and improving crop yield. This has fascinated me so much and I keep thinking of how biotech could be employed in various areas to enhance living.
I look forward to studying for a degree in Biotechnology from Coventry University because i believe it would help me achieve my aims of making impact in various fields of research.
Currently, My parents would not be able to finance my postgraduate studies with their earnings due to it being insufficient. That is why I have decided to open this fundraiser to help me achieve my goals.
Upon completion of my study, I plan to transfer knowledge obtained to other individuals in my circle of work and use the skills gained to better address and impact my field of work leading on to a better world.
Thank you so much for your care!!!
