Bea & Pearl’s Special Olympic Summit

From March 16-22, 2017, Special Olympics will host the Genuine: Social Impact Summit as part of the Special Olympics World Games in Graz, Austria. Youth leaders from all around the world will convene for training and mentorship on how to make their communities more inclusive for people with intellectual disabilities.

Bea Mendoza and Pearl Abella of the Special Olympics Philippines Palawan will be two among the selected 50 teams only from around the world to have been given the opportunity to participate in the prestigious event. Both are recognized for their contribution as athlete, volunteer and coach in Special Olympics- Palawan and through initiating special programs for people with intellectual disabilities in Puerto Princesa City. They dream to impact too, the lives of special kids throughout Palawan and share with them the experience, joy and fulfillment in helping others find their gifts and realize their purpose, and become an active and respected individual in the community.

Although the Special Olympics Social Impact Summit, which will be held on March 16-22, 2017 is free, Pearl and Bea need help to raise fund for their airfare and other travel expenses.
