Be a hero

Please help us to save baby JL (JAMEZON LEZTER N. BACANI) life 11 month old a young Knight, he was diagnosed having a chronic liver diseased called Biliary Atresia a rare liver disease that will only require liver transplant for him to survive. This page was made to raise fund as quickly as possible. We already conduct T shirt for a cost and raffle for a cost but still we could not raise the amount that is needed. Family and friend are trying everything to finds ways to provide the needs. As per initial consultation the procedure is expected to not go down than 3 million (if done in Philippines) doesn't include maintenance medication after the operation.

Any form of help to meet our target will be a great help to our baby. Any amount is very appreciated, aside from it we also need your prayers for baby JL it would mean a lot as this little knight go through this big fight

What Is Biliary Atresia?

Biliary atresia is a disease of the bile ducts that affects only infants. Bile is a digestive liquid that is made in the liver. It travels through the bile ducts to the small intestine, where it helps digest fats.

In biliary atresia, the bile ducts become inflamed and blocked soon after birth. This causes bile to remain in the liver, where it starts to destroy liver cells rapidly and cause cirrhosis, or scarring of the liver.

As the liver becomes scarred, it presses against the walls of the veins. This constricts the veins and blood cannot pass through them properly. The result is portal hypertension (high blood pressure in the portal vein).

Scientists do know that biliary atresia is not hereditary; parents do not pass it on to their child. It is also not contagious, and it is not preventable. It is also not caused by anything an expectant mother did or did not do. If not treated with surgery it can be fatal
