Be a Hero: Help Transform this Little Girl Destiny

Our amazing little Girl Zainab, 7 years of age and she has Autistic Spectrum Disorder, accompany Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and PICA, ( PICA is a condition that makes her eat things that aren't to be eaten like all sort of dirt, bathing soap and also to her own feces)

However, she is on the non- verbal end of the spectrum which affects only one in four children with autism. Basically, this means that she cannot communicate verbally, no eye contact and does not understand the world around her. We often say, she is trapped in “Zainab’s world”. Imagine raising a child who cannot tell you they are hungry, thirsty, tired, unwell, upset or scared. As parents, we struggle daily to meet her needs and she in turn is frustrated when we can’t. As Zainab gets older she's becoming more frustrated and its heart breaking for us, as we struggle to figure out what she wants. We worry constantly that Zainab may never speak, that she'll never call us Mamma or Dadda, never tell us she loves us, and worse if she's unwell she can't tell us why.

While there is no known cure for autism, there is hope for children like Zainab, an intensive therapy and treatment that helps parents and the children themselves to manage and live functionally with this condition, eventually helping them to speak and be useful for themselves in future.

As a parent and immigrant, we are struggling to get about and have been refused Disability Living Allowance. This expensive therapy is not available on the National Health Service, currently only available privately but we have seen it work for other children similar like Zainab. “For a kid to get access to this therapy, it is not child’s play. It cost a ton monthly. "The therapy fees are very expensive.”

We are reaching out from the bottom of our hearts for help to get Zainab the costs of first one year of therapy she needs. As a family we have done all that we can, selling our properties and changing our lifestyle totally to give one of our children the best chance in life. Unfortunately it's not enough. We are raising money to pay for her therapy to ensure she gets as many ABA, HBOT hours and other treatments as we can manage. We are so incredibly grateful for any donations we receive, as without them, Zainab’s therapy is beyond our reach.
