Hey! My name is Mārtiņš, i'm 20 years old and i just started living in Riga, Latvia.

My usual day schedule is very simple, i'm working, work day's over, coming home. There's a wonderful sight outside my house. There is a multifunctional sports area (pitch, field) with plenty of possibilities. Young people play football, basketball, tennis in full swing here. Everything is beautiful, isn't it? I thought so.

Until I turned my eyes on people who doesn't use the possibilities of a sports area. More precisely, those who CAN'T use them. Almost every day I see disabled people here. The only thing they can do is drive around the runway with their usual daily unstable wheelchair. Which is not mean't to be used for that kind of purposes at all. (Wheels are not made for such runway, frame and the wheelchair itself is not made for sports activities.)

Why exactly basketball wheelchair? Because it's specialized/created for improved stability and the durability. The disabled wouldn't have to worry about their safety anymore, because I've noticed that playing basketball or badminton isn't really safe and easy to drive around.

I wish to improve the importance of sport in my own country a little. In my opinion, the disabled people are not getting enough attention here. It needs to be changed.

Each donation is a huge investment for my purpose. Nothing is ever forced, but if you care about the well-being of people, then your heart is in the right place for you. Thanks.
