Band Car Burned Down – send help!

Hi! We are the band called Silingan ni Felicity (Felicity's Neighbor). We were formed last 2015 in Cebu City and we are now slowly recording our first album. (Yay!!!) When we started out, it was very cumbersome for us to get to our gigs bringing our instruments with us. One of us, Anna, had a motorcycle and more often than not, she'd have her carry as much of the instruments as she can on the motorcycle. It wasn't very safe!

After a few months, Anna decided to buy a band car so it would be easier for us to get to our gigs and bring our instruments! Since the band didn't have any funds, all the money that went into buying that car came from Anna's pocket. This was Anna's biggest investment--four years of hard-earned savings went into acquiring the car. When she got it, we lovingly named her Minie--Minie the Minivan.

Fast forward to three years later. One cold evening, as Minie was just quietly parked in an open parking lot, somebody called our attention because smoke was coming out from the minivan. Upon checking, we found that Minie was on fire from underneath and the fire was spreading fast. We called emergency responders, asked for help from people living nearby, and did all we can to try and save her.

Anna lost Minie that night. In the hullaballoo that ensued, we found out that someone had stolen her wallet, as well, including the generous amount of cash in it. This was devastating. We couldn't imagine this happening to the kindest car-owner we've ever known. Anna was known to drive us around--band related or not, pick us up from the airport, help us move our household things, give rides to total strangers who were hitchhiking, and many other feats of kindness.

We are at a loss. As her bandmates and friends who benefitted the most from having Minie around, we want to give back. We don't have much financially so we decided to start this fundraising campaign. And for every PhP5,000 donation, we are giving away a free MP3 draft copy of our never-before-recorded upcoming single.

With the money we raise here, we hope to afford another minivan for the band and for Anna.
