Last Dec. 16, the Philippines was hit by Super Typhoon Rai (Odette) bringing winds of 195/h (120mph). The significant strength of Typhoon Rai along with remarkable heavy rainfall and forceful winds from island after island were unpredictable and destructive. Bais City, my hometown was one of the badly affected.
