Hi everyone, This is Olivia Violet. She turned 1 last February 5.

Last November 2019, Violet was rushed to the hospital because of high fever. The doctors took blood samples and ran tests but was not able to get any diagnosis. She was 9 months old at that time.

Since then, Violet was in and out of the hospital for fever and various infections. Her blood work always show abnormalities — low platelet count, high WBC count and now, very low hemoglobin count. Her doctors were unable to explain what was going on.

Violet has now gone through 3 bone marrow extraction procedures and weekly CBC tests.

JMML, a rare kind of leukemia was the initial diagnosis last March but now her doctors are thinking that it might be Evans Syndrome, a rare autoimmune disease because of the symptoms that she is showing.

Her parents have already had confirmatory tests done abroad, and while they continue to wait for results, her doctors are considering to send more samples elsewhere to properly diagnose her and give her a better treatment plan. To date, they have spent more than 750,000.00 pesos for treatment, laboratory exams, and other medical concerns.

Right now, Violet is currently confined at St. Luke’s in Quezon City awaiting blood transfusion to correct her hemoglobin count (normal should be 11 and hers is 2). Unfortunately, we still haven’t found a match. We are asking for any help through monetary donations, prayers and blood donors that you can send our way.
