The Comprehensive Center for Children and Adolescents, CENIT, is a non-profit organization from the southern part of Quito, Ecuador.

The organization developpes strategies and comprehensive care programs to welcome children and adolescents in situations of risk and vulnerability, with the aim of eradicating child labor, promoting the exercise of rights, gender equality, living values and improving their living conditions.

CENIT creates comprehensive educational and productive programs that are efficient in the long term; with a solid structure in the organization that involves the public and private sector, national and foreign volunteers.

All these resources synchronized and focused on eradicating the work of children and adolescents, offering new alternatives and improving their living conditions and those of their families who are in vulnerable situations.

Why help us?

Despite the effort and remarkable work that CENIT has been deploying for 32 years, the organization is facing several challenges: logistical, financial, lack of staff, etc.

The organization managed to finance the renovation of the library roof. However, in order to welcome children in ideal conditions, and in order to offer them a safe place of rest and play, where they can explore the educational and literary world with enthusiasm, CENIT would like to partially renew the inventory of its books, games and ludic material available to students.

Also, in order to celebrate the 10 years of service of the volunteer librarian, who every day gives 100% of her energy to allow children to enjoy the world of books, without any salary and leading a very modest life, CENIT would like to thank her for her time with a little financial help.

50% of donations will be spent on materials, and 50% will be given to the dedicated librarian.

Each donation will allow children to flourish in their learning in a welcoming and inspiring place.

El Centro Integral para la Niñez y la Adolescencia, CENIT, es una organización sin fines de lucro de la zona sur de Quito, Ecuador.

La organización desarrolla estrategias y programas de atención integral para acoger a niños, niñas y adolescentes en situación de riesgo y vulnerabilidad, con el objetivo de erradicar el trabajo infantil, promover el ejercicio de derechos, la igualdad de género, los valores de vida y mejorar sus condiciones de vida.

CENIT genera programas educativos y productivos integrales que sean eficientes en el largo plazo; con una sólida estructura en la organización que involucra al sector público y privado, voluntarios nacionales y extranjeros.

¿Por qué ayudarnos?

A pesar del esfuerzo y el notable trabajo que CENIT viene desplegando desde hace 32 años, la organización se enfrenta a varios desafíos: logísticos, financieros, falta de personal, etc.

La organización logró financiar la renovación del techo de la biblioteca. Sin embargo, para acoger a los niños en condiciones ideales y ofrecerles un lugar seguro, de descanso y juego, donde puedan explorar con entusiasmo el mundo educativo y literario, CENIT desea renovar parcialmente el inventario de sus obras, juegos y material lúdico a disposición de los estudiantes.

Asimismo, para celebrar los 10 años de servicio de la bibliotecaria voluntaria, que cada día da el 100% de su energía para que los niños puedan disfrutar del mundo de los libros, sin salario alguno y llevando una vida muy modesta, CENIT quiere agradecer ella por su tiempo con un poco de ayuda financiera.

El 50% de las donaciones se gastará en materiales y el otro 50% se entregará al bibliotecario dedicado.

Cada donación permitirá que los niños florezcan en su aprendizaje en un lugar acogedor e inspirador.
