Hello kind stranger, My name is Casey lee and i am here asking for help for my mother Sharyn Klease. I have watched my mum struggle for the past 18 years of my life. She's been in and out of hospitals since 21 with hundreds of doctors and specialist visits who have unfortunately been unsuccessful in being able to shed any light on her condition. Being misdiagnosed numorous times and therefore mistreated made her condition considerably worse But 3 weeks ago mum was finally officially diagnosed with an incurable brain disorder called Dystonia. There are a million and one things I could write here but without going into it too much she is basically losing the ability to look after herself. Every day is different, with some thankfully a lot better than others.

This isolating and dibilitating disorder causes her so much pain and at times makes it nearly impossible to do the simplest of things that i once took for granted. Being able to brush her teeth and her hair, being able to make herself dinner or to even be able to drink a cup of tea, anything to do with fine motor movements is a daily struggle for her to do herself especially having the disorder so strongly in her upper body. The past few months has seen her condition get worse at an alarming rate. There is medication she has been taking to help prolong the symptoms and effects of the disease as much as possible but the side effects of these drugs are even more severe. They've got her taking medication for the side effects of her other medications!

Even after being sick for so long, my mother has been the strongest person i know. Between nursing a dying friend, looking after her father with Parkinsons, nursing my brother after spending 8 months in hospital and being a councillor for almost everyone! She has also gone through Chemotherapy last year for cancer, undergone multiple cortazone injections, spent 4 years on morphine patches, had rods injected into her spine to try and kill off nerves all with no result to numb the pain she suffers from daily. After 35 years of this, Its time for my Mumma to have some healing time.. and my aim in being here and starting this fundraising project is to be able to give something back to her and make her time here the most comfortable it can be.

I really hate the idea of her taking this medication after seeing the horrible side effects it has on her body and mind and my mind and my heart is screaming "There HAS to be another way!" So i have looked into alternative therapies to provide some kind of pain relief and prolonging of symptoms instead,and what i have found is that a combination of many different forms of massage, very gentle yoga and light stretching and physiotherapy, acupuncture, qi gong, guided meditations, essentiall oils and many other holistic approaches especially in a consistant environment as well as eliminating as much stress from her life would be the best way to go about it. 

So, i am here asking for help. Even if you're only able to spare a $1

I would be so forever grateful if you felt so inclined to even share with your friends or donate to my cause of being able to raise enough money to be able to take my mother overseas for treatment asap and at the same time be able to afford to get her the alternative treatments i mentioned above. Its just that these therapies are so freakin expensive in Australia it makes it almost impossible for me to make happen here.

I am hoping all the Angels could rally together to support one of their own by donating here so that we can afford to get her the right kind of treatment to see that she has a better quality of life.

I just want to give her back some of the love she has given to me over the years even in all her illness.
