Around the world in 365 days

Hey everybody! My name is Mathias, and I'm a 22 year old dane who has never been outside my home country of Denmark. Since I graduated college in 2013, I've been wanting to gather up my friends and travel the world for 1 year, hoping to experience different cultures and gain knowledge of our wonderful planet. Unfortunately the financial crisis has been harsh on the danish market of labor, and it is almost impossible to find a job right now unless you are under 18, due to the fact that you can pay students a significantly lower wage than everybody else. For that reason I can't accumulate the money I need, and this is where you guys come in! I'm well aware that it's a lot to ask of you. But believe me, every single dollar counts. Allow me to tell you a little bit about myself, and why should donate to my trip.

I'm an aspiring screenwriter and filmmaker, having studied the different arts at the European Film College here in Denmark from 2013-2014. Filmmaking has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and while I'm constantly writing and creating new ideas, it is just incredibly hard to get anything made here, especially in the north. One of my primary goals with this trip is to get inspiration for my works as a writer. A wise man once said that it's not important to just go out and make movies. The crucial thing is to go out and find out what to make movies about, which is a philosophy I truly believe in. If you help me raise money for my trip, I promise to keep you updated through videos, photos, and blog-entries along the way. I want to give something back to everyone who donates. I want you to go on this journey with me, to see these amazing placing and discover the wonders of earth and its people. This is something I am extremely passionate about, and as of right now there really is no other way to fund this great adventure.
