Hi there! I would like to kindly thank everyone visiting this page. Your time and consideration are highly appreciated!
First of all, let me tell you a bit about ISFiT.
ISFiT stands for the “International Student Festival in Trondheim,” which is the largest student festival in the world. The festival’s main objective is to create a brighter future for young people around the world. Therefore, every other year, the event organizers choose a theme that has an international relevance. This time, the main topic of the festival is Discrimination.
This year, ISFiT has received 10,000 applications from approximately 150 countries, choosing just 450 promising young people who will exchange ideas in Trondheim, Norway, in February. I am among the ones who have been selected to take part in the festival!
ISFiT 2017 provides room and board free of charge for every ISFiT participant. However, ISFiT does not cover travel expenses or any other expenses that might occur during the trip. For someone coming from a “developing country,” it might be too expensive to attend a 10 day event in one of the most expensive countries in Europe. This is why I am here!
To me, as both a psychology major and an ESL teacher, the participation in this festival means a great deal. I will be privileged to meet people from all over the world and get new perspectives on current global issues, which might help me make a change in my home country, Moldova, where the problem of discrimination is as relevant as it gets.
I would be grateful for any contribution that you can offer. Thank you!
