Campaign Story
Anton Prylypko is a musician, poet, and photographer from Kyiv, Ukraine, who, as a result of a tragical accident fell into a coma (in March 2017). We still don't know what happened that evening, but we know we have to help him today.
Just like a newborn, he again has to learn how to eat, move, speak, respond.
He mostly stays at home, and only occasionally, after our financial aid, is being checked into a hospital for a full check-up.
During such recent check-up in January 2018 doctors found that Anton has hydrocephalus (water on the brain). The only effective way to treat it is to do a cerebral shunt — to relieve pressure on the brain caused by fluid accumulation. Parallel to this surgery the doctors will put a titanium plate on Anton's head — to make him less perceptible to atmospheric pressure and possible injuries.
The cost of the surgery is around $2,500. Every dollar and every share on social media is a huge help. Thank you all for being human. Your big open hearts help Anton get back to life.
