President Rodrigo Duterte is offering a P50M bounty to anyone who can develop a vaccine against the dreaded coronavirus as if the virus is a fugitive. He also said that he could raise it to 100M if he becomes happy. He probably thought researchers were bounty hunters out to make quick bucks by pointing the hoodlums' lair. Little did the president know, drug firms spend tens of millions of dollars for research and development of a single drug and it will wait years of testing and retesting before it can be marketed. In Duterte's alternate universe, the race in finding the antidote for COVID is a stupid game with a stupid prize.

Meanwhile, in an equally stupid part of the globe, Donald Trump recently urged Americans to inject disinfectant as it could potentially kill coronavirus, according to him. Now the federal government is scrambling to stop people from being sent to hospitals following this stupid and reckless pronouncement from this stupid president.

The world would have been better if we had vaccines that could prevent the spread of stupidity that continues to plague humanity. Or better yet, vaccines that can counter the inevitable--the prevalence of stupid politicians.

In line with this, I am starting a crowdfunding campaign to raise P1M reward to anyone who can develop a vaccine against stupid politicians. As soon as we reach P1M pesos, the money will be kept for a period of one year from hereon. If no such vaccine will be produced within the timeframe, the money will be realigned for relief operations instead.
