American Baseball & Softball in the Philippines

My name is David Flowers and I am a retired US War Veteran currently residing in the Philippines . I am continuing to Volunteer my time , energy , personal funds , to assist in the growth of American Standard Baseball in the Philippines . And could use alot more help and assistance in this area .

I started this project in late of 2008 and has been running for nearly 10 years now and in that time we have had over 300 different young people come to me for advice , training , improvement , etc . Many have come from a very long way to our training sessions or play against one of our 3 league teams. I have had the oppertunity to visit , volunteer in various public schools here in the Philippines in which I and fellow volunteers have traveled to the various locations to improve the education side of the sport .

We are very proud of our achievements and the hard work of a lot of people connected with the City that I started with . In which it has also led to on-field success. Our under 13’s have went from being in Last Place in various tournaments to becoming runner up . While 2 senior players were selected to play for the countries national team .And travel to the U,S to play in the Pony League World Series in 2010 . Upon their return to the Philippines the 2 players that where selected to play in the U.S was given University Scholarship at the UNIVERSITY of SANTO THOMAS . One of the top three national university in the country .

There are however many expenses connected with volunteering and conducting the operations of trying to improve the standards of Baseball in the Philippines . When funding soley on my own its very difficult to be able to maintain the goals and growth of the game when many costs can not be met .

I understand that if I do not seek new sponsors year on and year out it would mean so much lost for the future of the players . If it were possible I would very much welcome the opportunity to speak to you about this . Their is a you tube video of me and some of the players I have worked with over the years . And would love to be able to continue what I have started back in 2008 .

The major expense for the sport and game of baseball on my part is Transportation , Equipment , Uniforms , Balls , Bats , Gloves , University Scholarships , Sponsorships , Salaries , etc .

Anything that one might be able to assist with is great appreciated !!!!!!
