It baffles me the quality of food in some places. I want to start a burger bar with food made from quality ingredients, fresh made burgers and local sourced produce, chilli dogs, chicken wings, thick shakes, fries with home made cheesecakes, pies and ice cream for dessert and fresh buns baked daily. A simple menu that satisfies immensely and food cooked to perfection every time is the dream.

My burgers and sausages will be made with a secret recipe, the chilli for the dogs is like nothing in New Zealand, as little as possible will be out sourced as all sauces, condiments and everything else will be made on site. Not only do I want a standalone restaurant but a food truck to take advantage of the night markets that have begun to get back in the swing of things. Not only do markets and festivals generate a large amount of sales but it gives me opportunities to expand and grow a business that can get people excited about eating out again.

Having a business I can be proud of that can not only satisfy the tastes of New Zealand but push pallets as well is a dream worth pursuing. I enjoy cooking and eating a meal in good company, my recipes I stand behind and anyone who tries them can never get enough. Sounds a bit boastful but when I serve someone a meal, especially if they pay for that meal I want them to be so satisfied that no other burger compares, no pie smells as good and every now and then they'll remember and daydream, trying to remember those aromas and flavours.

Now to the nitty gritty. I need funds for the first two months lease, refurbishment costs, supplies and equipment, staff costs, stock, advertising and licences. I've found a location with a good base kitchen set up, great location with high foot traffic yet intimate and quiet. I have also researched local suppliers for ingredients with price and quality comparisons and availability being key. I keep up to date with uber eats trends and food reviews so as to keep on top of the way people are going food wise and with what I see I can't fathom what keeps some places going. $15 for a chicken burger and fries that tastes processed, $18 for bland fettuccine, every place has the same generic desserts of brownie and ice cream, tiramisu and something with caramel that they all seem to get from the same supplier, the list goes on.

Please help me raise the standards and bring in a quality of food that'll make every one drool.
