Help Alpha in her fight against Cancer

Help my Saxophonist sister in her fight against cancer so she can continue playing beautiful music for the world to hear.

Hi everyone! I am Ma. Alfie Sheryll Trajeco, and I opened this campaign to raise funds for my sister’s cancer treatment.

Last March 2019, my sister Ma. Alpha Christine Trajeco (aka Alpha Trajeco) discovered a lump on her left breast. She was initially diagnosed with Breast Cancer Stage IIB. She was advised by her doctor to undergo a modified radical mastectomy to prevent the cancer cells from spreading to other parts of her body. After her left breast mastectomy, the results of her post-operation evaluation showed to be aggressive, and she now has Breast Cancer Stage IIIA.

Her doctors recommend aggressive and costly cancer treatments, which will run over the course of the next 18 to 24 months (1.5 years to 2 years) under close monitoring. Unfortunately, the treatment plan is expensive. Her treatment includes Chemotherapy, Anti-Her2 (Herceptin SC), Radiation, and Hormone therapy.

Herceptin is very expensive: one vial alone costs Php 120,000.00 (USD 2,324.94) for 18 sessions; chemotherapy costs more or less Php 40,000.00 (USD 774.98) each cycle for 6 cycles, with the last two amounting to more or less Php 65,000.00 (USD 1,259.34); 33 daily sessions of radiation therapy, which amounts to around of Php 130,000.00 (USD 2,518.68), excluding hospital expenses and doctor’s professional fee.

With the costs of the treatments, amounting to no less than Php 3,000,000.00 (USD 58,123.50), our family has a hard time supporting all the financial requirements. At this moment, our family is doing everything we can to raise the fund needed for her treatment program. We are currently looking for possible ways soliciting through the help of relatives and friends, and squeezing our family’s savings.

We also tried seeking medicine discounts and other institutions and government agencies like PCSO (Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office), DOH, DSWD, etc. that offer medical assistance.

Sad to say, we are struggling to meet both ends to cover her medical expenses since all these sessions are already underway.

We are looking forward to making more fond memories with my sister and have her live a long healthy life. We would like her to play beautiful music again for the world to hear, to raise a wonderful family with my future nieces and nephews. I would wish to watch movies with her again, sing videoke at our home, and buy her favorite doughnuts.

No family can handle this kind of situation alone. My sister needs our help despite the sky rocketing bills. We can’t afford to let her go.
