Alex’s Farm – Jojo the wonderdog

Meet the amazing Jojo. She was found wandering in the mountains as a stray. She was in a terrible state and giving up on life. Alex's Farm Of Strays offered to take her on and she was taken in to foster by the amazing Rosslyn Sutherland (foster mum extrodanaire!) on her first visit to the vet she was diagnosed with leishmaniasis, erlichia and anaemia and started her treatments straightaway. She has had ongoing trouble with her eye due to a tear duct being removed which left her with infections and dryness in that eye. On her other eye she had a large tag that was causing her discomfort. She was recovering well from all of these things when suddenly she had trouble walking and it was discovered she had slipped disc causing her more pain. Under Rosslyn watchful eye she gradually overcame all of these things and had the eye tag removed....everyone thought she had finally come to the end of her bad luck and I'll health! Sadly this wasn't to be, she was going out for her first ever walk when she was biten by a viper, Rosslyn was quick to react and she was in the vets within minutes of it happening. They antivenom was administered and all seemed to be OK..... But the next day she was very unwell and so back to the vets she went to discover she had pancreitis, possibly caused by the venom. She spent another weekend in the vets and thankfully is home again with Rosslyn recuperating and doing well😊 this has been a long story but so much has happened to this poor little girl that there was no way of keeping it short! As you can imagine all of this has amounted quite a sizeable veterinary bill and we have set this fund up to try and raise some of the monies to help with that.
