Good day!  I am 31 years old and a mother of 3 daughters and the last one is born with albinism.  Albinism is an inherited genetic disorder characterized by lack of melanin pigment in the skin, hair and eyes, as being listed as a rare disease by the National Institutes of Health.  In Africa albinism affects approximately one in 4000-5000 people.  Albinism affects people of all races.  On our case, we are black parent, but gave birth to Justina having been born without a color on her hair, skin and eyes. Because their features are different from normal people born without albinism, they face social stigmatization, rejection by their own parents and families, and are seen as curses in some cultures upon the family affected and in some countries they are killed for muti (human sacrifices).  As a result my baby born with that condition, i suffered emotional and rejection from people compare to the time i gave birth to my other kids born without albinism.  I was pointed fingers by people to be the cause of albinism in my daughter because people know i have them in my mother's family.  I am an orphan, my mother died in 2002 and my father died in 2011.  I am the last born of 8 and only the last two of us made it to tertiary education.  My family is struggling financially.

With my daughter being born with albinism and the experience i had since she was born, there was a time i wanted to give up in life but have to think for the lives of my daughters.  After doing researches, i then decided to advocate for people born with albinism and their families because in my country people do not talk about albinism unless they are staying with them and children in schools do not really knows what albinism is that is why if they see a person born with albinism in their school they tend to discriminate them and treat them unhumanly.

Against this background, i wrote a book as a mother of a child born with albinism to sensitize societies about albinism and i am in need of funds to make my book a success and be a successful person regardless what i have been going through.

People born with albinism are suffering worldwide.  They are being denied the love of parents, families and communities.  Precious people help me and stand up to fight for the lives of people born with albinism.

After my book is published, i have the desire to open up a foundation of people born with albinism and their families in Namibia and make sure these people are not denied of their rights, that includes education as some of them are locked up in houses being avoided by their families to be seen in public.

Your donation will be a blessing to people born with albinis mand their families.
