Olen Marcus, Eesti transkogukonna liige. Ma vajan abi, et saada rinnaoperatsioonile.

Mida ise olen parema ühiskonna hüvanguks teinud?

Olen aidanud Eesti LGBT Ühingul algaegadel startida ja tegelenud eelkõige vabatahtliku tööga. Minu töödeks ja tegevusteks olid esmane LGBTQ+ kogukonna aktiveerimine ja strateegiline kaasamõtlemine, tekstide kirjutamine ja tõlkimine, ideestamine ja tagasisidestamine. Korraldasin transsoolisuse eksperdina OMA Keskuses transinimestele suunatud üritusi, nõustasin kogukonna liikmeid ja toetajaid. Professionaalse huvikaitse välja arenedes taandusin ühingu tegevustest.

Üle 10 aasta olen administreerinud Eesti transinimeste foorumit (www.transfoorum.forumotion.net) ja viimastel aastatel ka ühte Facebooki transgruppi. Hetkel olen lähemalt seotud MTÜ-ga Eesti Noorte Vaimse Tervise Liit, eesmärgiga ühendada transkogukonda vaimse tervise abi võimalustega. Jõudumööda panustan ka teistesse sotsiaalse närviga vabaühendustesse erinevate koostööprojektide korras.

Kuidas olen seni püüdnud operatsiooniks raha kokku saada?

2020. aasta suvel käisin täiskohaga tööl, aga tööandja jäi mulle 1,3 kuu palga võlgu. Arvestades tööandja tegutsemisajalugu ei saa loota võla vabatahtlikku väljamaksmist. Järgmine samm on pöörduda kohtutäituri poole, aga 1. raha kättesaamisega läheb kauem kui mul operatsioonini on aega ja 2. väljamaksmata palga tõttu olen jäänud õppelaenu osas võlgu, mille pangale tagastamine on prioriteet. Viimase asjaolu tõttu pole mul võimalik väikelaenu taotleda.Üldiselt mul ei ole olnud sellist sissetulekut, millest oleks võimalik 2500 eurot kõrvale panna.

Olen rinnaoperatsiooni järjekorras olnud 2 aastat. Iga kord telefonikõnet saades olen optimistlik olnud, aga operatsiooniaja kätte jõudes pole sellist summat minu arvelduskontol, mitte ligilähedalegi. Sellepärast olen oppi juba 3 korda edasi lükanud. Mu viimane võimalus operatsioonile saada on 2021. aasta jaanuari alguses, sest kliinikumi sõnul “hoian kohta kinni” ja pärast seda võetakse mind järjekorrast maha. Hiljem on võimalus operatsioonile saada näiteks Leedus, mis on kokkuvõttes kallim ja mitte oluliselt kvaliteetsem.

Viimane aeg ettemaks operatsiooniks üle kanda on 4. jaanuar 2021.

My name is Marcus, I am a member of Estonian transcommunity. I need to undergo a top surgery.

What have I done for a better society?

I have helped to establish the Estonian LGBT Association in its early days, being primarily involved in volunteer work. My work and activities were activation of the LGBTQ + community and strategic thinking, text writing and translating, conceptualising and providing feedback. I organised events for trans people at the association (OMA Center), counseled community members and supporters. When professional advocacy developed, I withdrew from the activities of the association.

For more than 10 years I have been administering the Estonian Transgender Forum (www.transfoorum.forumotion.net) and for a few years also a Facebook transgroup. At the moment, I am more closely associated with the Estonian Youth Mental Health Association, aiming to connect the transcommunity with mental health care opportunities. I also contribute to other non-governmental organisations that have social nerves through various co-operation projects.

Please make the prepayment 1000.- by the 4th of January 2021.

So far, how have I tried to raise money for the operation?

In the summer of 2020, I went to full-time work, but my employer did not pay me my 1.3 months' salary. Given its history, no voluntary repayment of the debt can be expected. The next step is to turn to a bailiff, but 1. it takes longer to receive the money than I have time for the operation and 2. due to unpaid salary, I have been left with the student loan debt, which is a priority for me. Due to the latter fact, I am not able to apply for a new loan. I have not had such an income, next to which it would be possible to put aside 2,500 euros.

I have been waiting for the top surgery for 2 years. I have been optimistic every time I have received a call in regards with the surgery, but when the time comes, there is no such amount of money in the bank account, not even close. Due to my financial situation, I have already waived of operation 3 times. My last chance to get the surgery is in early January 2021, because "I am holding a place in line”, after which my surgery will be canceled. Later it will be possible to have the surgery in Lithuania, for example, but then it will be more expensive and with not significantly higher quality.

The last time to prepay for the operation is January 4, 2021.
