Campaign Story
Hello! And thank you for dropping by.
My lovely little pug Picasso developed some pretty disturbing symptoms this spring. The best way I can describe it is like asthma. Coughing, sneezing and getting no air. This causes him to panic of course.
I've been in contact with a veterinary throughout the summer, testing different medications for all kinds of things. But with no results. All this has drained my small amount of savings to a zero.
Recently I took Picasso to an animals hospital, to get him x-rayed and to get a better idea of what may be wrong with him. It turns out he's having to tight airways to keep living a normal dogs life, without a surgery.
Picasso is a 3 year old pug, with an enormous amount of energy and loves being alive. Meeting friends, fooling around, or just chill in the sofa on a Sunday. I think it's sad that he may have to be put down at this young age, when he could have the chance of living for maybe 10 more happy years. And be able to keep loving everything and everyone. Except water - he hates water.
Now for the really sad news -
For almost 3 years, my $50/month insurance has been a TOTAL WASTE! Because my insurance company don't want to help me in ANY way with this. They don't even cover the costs of the examinations I've done to figure out what's causing his behavior. And tat's just bull. Why is there even insurance companies if you can't rely on them to help out, when needed?
So in conclusion - my savings are gone and I'm getting NO help from my insurance company covering a surgery needed, for Picasso to have a normal life. Most unnecessary furniture and technology is already sold due to earlier expenses. I have nothing, but my sick dog.
Is this the end?
