The Aggie Boys Choir is a loosely formed, rag tag bunch of young upstarts from all over Cornwall. Based in St Agnes, this non professional group have been going for just over a year, producing 100% original Cornish songs and shanties. After playing a number of unpaid gigs in and around the area, we were asked to participate in the Kan Rag Kernow annual song competition for newly composed songs performed in the Cornish language, which against a strong talent we went on to win and are now on our way to represent Cornwall at the Pan Celtic Festival in Ireland at the end of April 2014.We are looking for donations to help with the cost of the trip, (because we're all skint) and as well as this fundraising appeal we will be playing a number of fundraising gigs around Cornwall in the weeks leading upto the festival, the dates of which you can find on our Facebook page by following the link below.Any amount you can offer would be a huge help to getting eight of us, our instruments and the roadie to Ireland to achieve this once in a lifetime oppertunity. The funds will be spent on hiring a minibus for a week with fuel to get us there and back, and the return tickets on the cross channel ferry for 8 people. The total cost is likely to be around £1500 but anything we can get is most appreciated. We would like to take this moment to thank you for your support; past, present and future and we hope to see you at one of our forthcoming gigs. For more information about the ABC, Pan Celtic Festival, Kan Rag Kernow, and the Cornish Language Partnership, please follow the links at the bottom of the page.Much love,The Aggie Boys Choir The ABC on Facebook
