Dear Sir/Madam,

Subject: Fundraising for Baby Adriana Taylor Dalusung

I, Genalyn Dalusung, gave birth to beautiful twins last October 02, 2019 thru emergency caesarean. My babies were born premature, Adriana Taylor Dalusung was 7 months and Andrea Tyler Dalusung was 6 months 2 weeks. Apparently, they were conceived on different times. While they were on my womb, Adriana was bigger and receiving most of the food while Andrea was smaller and weak. Andrea became weaker and might lose her hearbeat that’s why the doctors decided to do the emergency ceasarean. On their first day, I was so happy when the doctors said my babies are doing fine, however, they have to stay on the NICU. I haven’t gone to the NICU to see them causeI was told they were too small, I don’t want to see my babies looking weak. The following day was the start of our problems, we were told that Andrea was not in good condition and would need a blood transfusion. So, we started looking for blood donors and we were grateful because we got a lot of response from friends

Morning of October 4, 2019, the doctors said they had to put atube to Andrea as she’s having difficulty in breathing, I got so worried upon receiving that news. That same morning, I had to bravely face my fear of seeing my babies on their weak state. I went to NICU to see them; I talked to them and I was surprised that Andrea opened her eyes and seemed like responding to me. Then after a few hours, the doctor said Adriana was also given the same tube as that of Andrea. In the afternoon, around 3PM, the NICU nurses called us to give consent for an emergency operation to be done to Adriana. They said there was a trapped air on her lungs which prevent it to expand, so, they put a tube in her lungs to remove the trapped air. After the operation, they said Adriana’s condition got better. They also asked for my consent to do the blood transfusion for Andrea that day. I was relieved because I thought they are doing better. However, at around 5PM, an NICU nurse called us again as Andrea was not on good condition, they didn’t want to disclose what happened and asked us to wait for the doctor to explain the situation to us. We didn’t know that while we’re waiting on the NICU reception area, they’ve been doing CPR for Andrea. When the doctor arrived, she went inside to check on the baby and after a while, she asked us to come inside the NICU. Inside, I saw two nurses trying to revive Andrea, and the monitor on her side is giving us a bad signal. I don’t know what I am feeling, the doctor seems agitated and requested us to come closer. She explained that they’ve been trying to revive her for 30 minutes but there was no improvement. I was totally devastated when she asked the two nurses to stop the CPR. She explained to me that they did their best but she didn’t improved. She allowed us to pray for her and after the prayer, they already removed all the tubes and removed her from the incubator so I can carry her. All I could do was hold her and cry; I lost my baby Andrea.

All of these had been painful for me and my family but we have to be brave cause we still have baby Andriana, fighting for her life. We’ve already spent a lot for the two babies stay on NICU and also for my caesarean operation. As of today, we’ve already paid approximately Php 300,000.00 to the hospital and we have to deposit Php 20,000.00 daily so the hospital will continue on taking care of my daughter. If we won’t deposit, they will not give her medicines and I can’t let that happen. Today is the 10thday of Adriana on the NICU and she might stay there for 2-3months. I went to visit her today cause the doctor said she had difficulty in breathing so they did CPR for her, praise God she was revived and still fighting. We have to pay again but we only gave a promissory note as we’ve already exhausted everything that we have. We’ve already borrowed money from friends and relatives but still not enough. We went to PCSO but they said their office is closed and they don’t have budget for now, they asked us to go back in December. I know my baby will survive but for her to have all the medications she needs in the hospitalwe need support as we’re already financially drained.

From the bottom of my heart, I am humbly asking for your help. I will appreciate any amount that you could give for my baby. Thank you in advance and may God bless your giving heart.

Sincerely,

Genalyn Dalusung
