Since high school, I've been involved with charity work for the country of Haiti, a small, French speaking caribbean country... which happens to be the poorest in the Western hemisphere. It's also known to most people as the country devastated by a massive earthquake in 2010. Even before this diaster, Haiti saw most of its people in poverty. The earthquake, threw the country into even more turmoil.
Enormous amounts of money have been pooled for relief efforts in Haiti. However, without dedicated doctors, nurses and volunteers working to help heal this bruised nation, the money has no effect. This is where I come in. Several months ago, I was drawn to complete a mission. I searched endlessly for the perfect organisation to participate through. I finally found one: Adventures in Missions. It's aim is to bring hope, help and comfort to people who desperately need it, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether it's studying the Bible with local people, caring for orphaned children or reconstructing houses, it's an amazing opportunity to show God's love in all corners of the Earth.
Your donation will greatly help fund my trip to Haiti which takes place June 22-29, 2013. As a thank you, I will be sending miniature Bible charms (for keychains, necklaces or bracelets) to those donating $10.00 and miniature keepsake bottles filled with sea shells from the Sea of Galilee in Israel to those donating $20.00.
Thank you for considering a donation. Every little bit helps! God bless!
