A scholar’s scholarship dream – A chance to leave home

Hey, my name is Daniel Vargas.

I don't like asking for stuff, and honestly I could see some less favorable folk using this kind of website to get some free cash, but in reality I'm running out of options.

I come from Costa Rica, that one country from Jurassic Park, and I recently finished High School (November last year, to be exact), and I really didn't know what to do with myself.

But after digging around for a bit I found a scholarship to SUNY Korea and hey, why not. After a long process and several tests to both my brain and patience I did it! I won the scholarship from any other that may have wanted it (from my country, at least).

Now comes the sour part; turns out that the scholarship doesn't include several expenses, and thus, the Korean embassy here in my country requires me to show them a bank statement in which I have to have 5000$ in order to receive my Visa and leave.

I actually almost lost my scholarship, since I was supposed to leave the 18th of August, but the people of SUNY were gracious enough to give me a second chance, and leave the 16th of February.

In short, need 5000$ to get the visa and get my scholarship.
