A Poetic Birth

First off, if you are looking at this right now, then thank you for taking the time to stop and see what it is all about. Quite simply, I have been to the edge of darkness and managed to not fall over, and now trying to find a path for myself that will allow me to have a better life and be a better person. I have been homeless, addicted and lost but thanks to really good people, 12 months ago my life changed - from having nothing and facing into an a predictable end to an unoriginal story, my future is now a lot brighter. I have been clean for over 12 months, and living in an assisted housing unit has given me opportunity to regain my dignity, and find a P/T job but most importantly, I have been inspired to find growth through education and recently completed a diploma in business studies. I know have an opportunity to take a place on a 2 year degree program, with an internship also available at a company with a lot of great opportunities available further down the career path. Unfortunately, I am unable to pay for the program through any Govt. Scheme due to not meeting the criteria that allows for grants & funding but I am determined not to give up and know that if the first year's tuition fees (€3,300.00) can be covered, I am confident that by doing well on the course, and the internship, it can give me the platform to push on and make the most of this chance to be someone again, and relevant in society while making meaningful contributions.
