A House of Prayer for Orphans, Al-Aqsho – Batam

Dear brothers and sisters,

My name is Harry Kerenk, I’ve travelled within Indonesia and I now live in Batam island of Indonesia invited by the leader of Al-Aqsho foundation Mr. Sihabuddin Afri.

I created the Fundraising page to make donation to Al-Aqsho Orphanage here in Batam island of Indonesia. If you have a moment, take a look and spread a word. Please if you feel motivated to also contribute with a donation that will be very much appreciated!

Indonesia has an estimated population of over 261 million people and is the world's 4th most populous country, the most populous Austronesian nation, as well as the most populous Muslim-majority country.

The truth is quite a lot of our brothers and sisters cannot afford to have a decent life like others because they are just” less fortunate”. There are some who are without parents, they are Orphans. Some only have only a single parent where the parent cannot afford to place their children in school or even place food on the table for their daily basic needs. This is because of their financial situation.

There are some parents also who have health conditions where they have limitations to find a job. I am active in helping our brothers and sisters at Al-Aqsho Orphanage in Batam island of Indonesia. As I sat down and spoke with each one of them they shared some stories and they shared their happiness with me. I really find it sad watching these children go through hardship. I am so blessed that I still have my parents, brothers and sisters, not like other children at the orphanage. Also I let our brothers and sisters know here that there are still “ big families” out there in the other countries who care about them too.

I hope this story can” open your heart” in helping our brothers and sisters with their needs. Al-Aqsho Orphanage wish to have Musholla so that our brothers and sisters have a place to pray and we also have been working to build a” clinic “for other people who are in need of help without finances. Looking into the future they are so many things we are planning to get it done here, however we cannot do this by ourselves without assistance. Al-Aqsho needs your prayers and help in “making our dreams” come true.
