My name is Idan Eshed, I`m 17 years old and I am from Haifa, Israel. I would like to tell you a
little about myself.
I recently finished my 11th grade year at Hugim High in the city of Haifa, Israel. One of my
greatest desires in life is to become an Olympic Gymnast. Therefore, I am looking to acquire
the best and most professional gymnastic training possible. I am a very ambitious individual
and I want to work as hard as it takes to become all that I can in gymnastics.
Currently, I participate in the Physics and Economics educational department in my
high school. In addition, I am also part of the Ness Technologies leadership program of
management and info – CTM-ED.
As stated before, my greatest passion is gymnastics and I plan on becoming a professional
and going all the way to the Olympics. I currently practice with Maccabi North (the same
institute that Valeria – the 2012 Olympic participant came from), 6 times a week. In addition
I train in the gym on weekends. I plan on getting as much practice as I can because I know
the harder that I work the more I will improve.
Presently, in Israel, I am ranked as a level 6 out of 7 in Gymnastics. In the last Israel
Championship Games, I placed second in the Vault competition and fourth on the floor
exercise. I am proud of my accomplishments but I know that I can definitely achieve better.
My plan for now is to travel to the United States as soon as possible and to train in top
facilities until May or June, and return to Israel to complete my final exams and compete in
the Israeli Championships again.
