A Gift for the Future: Supporting Xavier’s Dreams in Computer Science

Hello everyone!

My name is Nahomy, and I want to share a story close to my heart. I'm launching a fundraising campaign to help my boyfriend, Xavier.

Xavier is an 18-year-old pursuing his dreams at the Universidad del Valle de Guatemala (UVG), where he is studying Computer Science Engineering. He is a talented young man determined to make a difference in the world through technology, but he faces a significant challenge.

We live in Guatemala, a country rich in beauty and culture, but also with economic challenges. Xavier comes from a financially limited family, and his generous-hearted uncle takes care of most of his university tuition. His hardworking mother has not yet secured a stable job. Consequently, the economic situation of his family prevents him from having a computer that meets the demands of his academic pursuits.

Currently, Xavier has a 75% financial aid, but his current computer falls short of the requirements of his academic program. As many of you know, Computer Science Engineering requires powerful and reliable tools, and Xavier's current computer cannot support him on this journey.

I am reaching out to you for a simple yet meaningful reason. His birthday is approaching, and my biggest wish is to gift him something that is not just a present but a tool that will accompany him on his academic and professional journey for many years.

I need your support to raise funds and purchase a new computer for Xavier. The goal is to ensure he has the right tools to maximize his potential and achieve his dreams in the field of computer science.
