What we know about Misha..

We know for sure is that he had spent two days in cold water, in the bitter cold temperatures of the Huedin region… In a valley in the Apuseni Mountains. Then his miraculous rescue… that in a barely inhabited region in the middle of nowhere he was noticed and rescued by a lady… That a local angel, helped him get urgently to a vet… That he got to us, that our veterinary expert stayed overtime, waiting for Misha to arrive so she could provide first aid, that he was helped to get to Alesd as well, to veterinary expert …

What happened to Misha? Maybe somebody shoved him around, injuring his tail or legs, maybe he treaded on him… or maybe he was born like that, it could be something congenital… It doesn’t matter any more… The only thing that matters is his present situation.

Misha’s condition are not good at all… The veterinary expert’s opinion: the spinal marrow is affected. Misha is missing proprioception, ( he is not conscious of having his hind legs… he feels that something is there, something heavy… but he is unconscious of what that could be ) and he can’t feel profound pain either in his hind legs. He has incontinency and he can’t control the evacuation of feces.

94% that will not change your health state, 6% chance to be better.

The doctor asked me to think about the possibility of euthanasia. We do not want to think about that.

We would like to try everything ,for we can give a chance for this 2-month-old puppy.

When I finished writing to and calling up every possible person I could, a dear acquaintance of mine let me know that somebody is going to help us get to Budapest, to have a MRI made. Pulling strings… without having to wait…

When we have the MRI results, Misha will be examined by a specialist in veterinary orthopedic and neurologic surgery…

I really want to believe we stand chances… I mean ‘we’, as I speak up on behalf of the tiny, 1,70 kg puppy, with zest for life… As Misha has a long and difficult way to go… he will surely need a wheelchair… a lot of diapers, special food to help reduce the quantity of stool… vitamins… probably medicine… physiotherapy… besides all the other things a normal puppy of his age needs…

Now, if you too believe that he can stand a chance and deserves it, that his case is worth trying to do all we can in order not to consider euthanasia, we ask for your help…

Our Organization is the Animal Rights Defenders Association Oradea(ARDA-Oradea)

We established our organisation to have legal rights, to be able to apply and use the animal protection and animal rights laws, to act lawfully and more effectively against those who violate these laws, and to work more efficiently than before.

Our foundation is young, we created it not long ago, but we ourselves have been saving animals for decades prior to establishing the legal organisation itself.

We work without a proper shelter or headquarters, with only occasional sponsors, but we’re still efficient, trying to help as many animals from our own personal resources and with the help of our few occasional sponsors. We focus on applying legislation and we legally prosecute in cases of abandon, neglect and maltreatment.

We only ask for donations in serious cases. We finance almost everything from money donated directly by the founding members.

This case is this case is as serious as possible. We talk about a life.

Thank you for your attention.
