'' A Bus Full of Stories ''
It is my
vision to create '' A Bus Full of Stories '' – an innovative
approach to storytelling and compiling and sharing stories, myths,
legends, folklore, traditions and historical perspectives from the
greater area of Fokidas (Phocis), Greece and its people, as well as
provide a mobile borrowing and sharing library, via a van I seek help
in purchasing.
It will be a van that can transport interested people, their stories and books both literally and metaphorically.
In an age
where schools close one after another in remote, rural areas and
people gather in major cities, I want this initiative to give
''life'' and experiences to the children and youth that live in
remote villages and areas of Fokidas (Phocis). Moreover, it will be
an amazing and significant opportunity to build a cultural legacy.
Details:
- A small van that will tour the area following a certain or different itinaries depending on the season. It is a storytelling bus, gull of stories that I would like to share with passengers and hear from them as they will be encouraged to share at least one story of their own.
- There will be a special place for a wheelchair.
