A Broken Speed Skating Journey

A blessed day, brothers and sisters in Christ.

This is Jose Fernando A. Felipe Jr., 21 years of age, and a member of the Philippine Short Track Speed Skating Team.

Speed skating is indeed, a one of a kind sport where you can feel excitement, fear and fun and a sport that is most loved by countries who dominates the Winter Sports; but now athletes from tropical countries like us is now into speed skating, A BURNING PASSION THAT WILL NEVER CEASE.

We, the Philippine Short Track Speed Skating Team, have been competing for the country for about 3 years now and earlier this year we joined an International Competition in Singapore and won 3 Gold and 3 Bronze medals. Since we are new, we are eagerly looking for sponsors to help us with our expenses during competitions.

Sponsoring me will not be only a great way to get involved with a new sport. Our team is comprised of 16 speed skaters including me, and each of us would be proud to use every gear you gave us in front of hundreds of people worldwide.

This coming October 5-7, there will be another International Competition in O’Brien Group Arena, Docklands, Victoria, Australia, which we are invited to compete with other speed skaters all around the world.

Unfortunately, Speed Skating is expensive and not all of the gears, accommodation and entry fees can be covered by my own expense. So now, I am humbly asking you with a kind and humble heart for a sponsorship to help subsidize the cost of new equipment/apparel for me who cannot afford to run the race and provide travel expenses on this upcoming competition.
