Helping SCCF continue their work with children and young women

SCCF is a voluntary, not for profit making organization registered on 28th August 2015 with National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organizations in Uganda under File No.MIA/NB/2015/08/2663 and Registration Number 3095.

SCCF focus on empowering rural children, youths and young women, we advocate for their rights, School Linking, Cultural exchange programs, Education, Health and sustainable alternative livelihood through training, advocacy, networking and collaboration with local authorities and rural communities.

SCCF are helping a number of orphan children’s in basic needs, Scholastic materials, medical support, Adolescent girls and young women on various vocations and business skills for their livelihoods. SCCF is supporting vulnerable children living with surviving relatives who are burdened with large families i.e. orphaned, neglected, Children on ARVs and TB drugs, abandoned and living in acute poverty, each child is supported with food items like Maize flour, Rice, Beans, Salt and Soap. We hope to support them with Bedding’s like Mattresses, Blankets, bed sheets and mosquito nets.

The sudden COVID-19 Lockdown in Uganda has left many surviving relatives/guardians that live from hands to mouth and struggling to maintain their livelihoods and income to support their large families due to extreme poverty being hit even harder by the crisis as prices for basic food items and supplies increased, they lost their source of income and livelihoods.

The orphans children are traumatized due to the closure of schools, a ban on travel (both public and private) and a 7pm curfew, on daily basis we receive distress calls that children are facing physical, sexual and psychological torture, regularly being beaten for being out at curfew time while picking leftover on the roadside to feed on at home, then what else can they do
