Gin’s FIP Medication

Hi All,

6 months ago I adopted 2 cats - Gin and Juice (brothers) from a fosterer who took their stray mum in 2 days before giving birth to these beautiful kittens. No words can describe how my home has changed with these two beautiful babies.

Sadly Gin was diagnosed with FIP (cat coronavirus) and needs immediate medication that costs a lot of money. Vet noticed unusual breathing and an ultrasound was done. Fluid was found in his lungs and we extracted immediately with sedation thankfully he pulled through the procedure. Unfortunately more fluid keeps accumulating in his lungs which makes it harder for him to breath all due to the wet FIP attacking his body. He has lost a lot of weight too. His body will shut down if left untreated.

FIP medication exists but costs an estimate of 1500 euro. The options I was left with were to either do nothing and let cat’s body deteriorate slowly with this illness leading to death or start this medication which gives Gin a good chance of survival. I have obviously decided to start the medication as letting my cat die is not an option. I am asking for help to cover some of the medical costs should you wish to help relieve the monetary stress of the situation. Any little helps and is appreciated. I am currently medicating Gin with these daily injections which need to be given same time daily for 84 days at least.
