Water Heater and Washing Machine for 120 Orphans

$250 Needed! We are raising USD250 (approximately RM1000) for a washing machine and a water heater for the 120 orphans situated at Village of Hope Da Nang, Vietnam. These orphans are between 6 to 18 years old, some of which are hearing-impaired.

Who are we?

Greetings! We are a team of 6 passionate students coming from various background (ie. Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Malaysia). Like many of you good Samaritans, we are fighting to improve the lives of the under-privileged community.

The Children in Village of Hope

Village of Hope is an orphanage in Da Nang, Vietnam. Currently, there are about 120 orphans situated there. These orphans are between 6 to 18 years old, some of which are hearing-impaired.

How will we spend the money?

• Washing Machine (approx. 170USD)
• Water Heater (approx. 60USD)
• Donations: ALL excess funds will be donated for the 120 children in Village of Hope Da Nang, Vietnam. These funds would be very helpful in maintaining their operations during COVID-19.

Why do the children need the money?

Currently, there is only one functionable washing machine shared among the children. Having a second washing machine would provide the children more time for their education and other chores as they do not have to manually wash their clothes everyday.

Covid-19 also had a big hit on their finances. Hence, on behalf of the children, we appeal to your kindness to help the Village.

Xin chào!

Chúng mình là một nhóm sinh viên của trường Đại học Sunway, Malaysia. Hiện tại nhóm đang tổ chức chương trình gây quỹ để giúp đỡ các trẻ em có hoàn cảnh khó khăn tại làng Hy Vọng, Đà Nẵng, Việt Nam.

Làng Hy Vọng hiện tại đang nuôi dưỡng gần 120 trẻ em mồ côi và khiếm thính. Với số lượng trẻ em đông nhưng làng chỉ có một chiếc máy giặt và máy nước nóng.

Với mong muốn cải thiện môi trường sống của các em, nhóm chúng mình mong muốn kêu gọi tấm lòng hảo tâm của các mạnh thường quân nhằm quyên góp số tiền 5.700.000 đồng để mua cho các em một chiếc máy giặt và máy nước nóng. Sự đóng góp này sẽ phần nào giúp cho sinh hoạt hằng ngày của các em được dễ dàng hơn. Sau khi mua các thiết bị này, số tiền còn dư sẽ được trao tặng cho các em ở Làng.

Ngoài chương trình gây quỹ thì nhóm còn tổ chức các hoạt động khác nhằm giúp cho các em có điều kiện mở rộng kiến thức và giao lưu với các bạn sinh viên ngoại quốc. Bạn có thể tìm hiểu thêm về các hoạt động này tại tài khoản Instagram @villag3_of_hope.
