Study Abroad to France, Belgium

Hello everyone. My name is Md Sadil Khan, I am 21 years old and thank you very much for visiting my fundraising page.

This campaign for will help me provide the financial needs for my Masters study in France. This September, I will join University Jean Monne t, Saint-Etienne for my Masters in Machine Learning and Data Mining. This is my first opportunity for an European cultural and educational experience, so I am very excited to go to France as well as anxious due to a ray of uncertainty for my financial condition.

Why France?

Ever since I was a kid, I wanted to see Europe and America with my own eyes and settle in a western country. I have been eagerly waiting to get accepted in a foreign university since last year and this year finally I will get to experience the beautiful French culture as well as travel as a student in Europe and America. This course will not only let me experience France but also I get to spend a semester in Belgium. As a boy living his whole life in a village, this news sometimes feels too good to be true.

I am deeply interested in Mathematics and Automation study. The perfect combination of both these fields is the field of Artificial Intelligence(AI). I am thrilled to have found a Masters program that suits my dream and place of study as I am really passionate about AI and I aspire to be one of the most influential AI researchers one day. So this opportunity means everything to me because not only I will get hands-on experience in a foreign company but also can work into research labs in my Masters. This has always been my focus to work in lab before my Ph.D as the experience itself will help me get into top ranking institutions in the world but sadly in India, it’s really hard to do Masters in AI related subjects as the scope is few and tuition fees are really high and almost all the courses focus on job rather research.

I specifically choose France because of internationally acclaimed education , Erasmus exchange program, cultural diversity and its two years stay back option for Indians. I love Saint -Etienne as it’s in the Rhone-Alps region and there are many options for sports which I will really excited to jump into. Also learning French will be a major asset for my personality.

The Problem:

I come from an agriculturally dependent family. Due to Covid crisis and cyclone in West Bengal, India, our family economy is severely hit and since I am not working currently, my parents alone are in no condition to bear the cost for my Masters study . Although the tuition fees are low but cost of living alone in France will take a heavy toll on our finance. So this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me to transform the lives of my family for good.

How you can help:

I believe educating a person always benefits thousands by his ideas, actions and passion. While I can’t change the world, I can certainly make a contribution in AI community through my time,energy and knowledge to benefit humankind. I can't achieve this goal alone,so I need your help.

I am raising a fund of a total of 16000 USD in order to make my dream into a reality. The cost is broken down below,

• 1400 USD (1250 Euro) for total tuition fees
• Living cost: 800 USD(700 Euro) per month

Help me be the scientist that I am destined to be. I would greatly appreciate any help you are able to provide.
