Labrador Lodge Inc is a non-profit, entirely volunteer-run, rescue group which is dedicated to the rescue, foster care and rehoming of Labradors in need. We are a national organisation, and have rescued over 1000 dogs since opening in 2007, and typically we have about 30-40 dogs in care at any time. Last year alone we re-homed over 300 dogs, an average of one dog a day.

We are currently looking for help to provide Veterinary Care, Medicines, Food, Bedding, Rehabilitation and Rehoming of all our Rescue dogs.

Labrador Lodge is our refuge for Labradors in need. Currently housing between eight and 12 dogs, some of these are permanently in our care, others, once rehabilitated will be found loving adoptive homes.

Other rescued Labradors are accommodated off-site with both permanent and temporary foster carers. Some of these dogs are retired due to age, health or other issues and will be housed in sanctuary care with us indefinitely.

Many of our dogs have medical complications. We never refuse to help a dog because of illness, old age or disabilities such as deaf or blindness. Many of these dogs cost us hundreds or even thousands of dollars to rehabilitate. We could not do this without the support of our Facebook friends and generous sponsors.

In order to accommodate, feed and medically treat all of our dogs, as well as to build new permanent shelters for more dogs at Labrador Lodge, we are currently seeking donations of $10 000 over the next calendar year.
