My name is Penelope Reyes, a Filipina, and a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner (CBP) and BodyTalk Access Trainer (BAT) living in Dauin, Central Visayas, Philippines. In these last three weeks, a series of successive and strong earthquakes hit the neighbouring island of Mindanao. A large part of the affected area is in Davao del Sur and Cotabato, where many villages are being devastated up to this day. The earthquakes continue and Ishmael Narag, officer-in-charge of Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the aftershocks may last until Christmas. On my own initiative, I have decided to volunteer my time and skills and am asking your support so I can help people who are in dire need.
This campaign aims to empower local emergency response teams, government health workers, social workers and NGO representatives with BodyTalk Access Training, so they can in turn, help their fellow-earthquake victims in Mindanao, recover in a sustained and holistic manner from trauma, shock and any emergency situation. An estimated 20 participants representing several areas hit by the ongoing earthquakes will undergo the 1-day BodyTalk Access Training while around 50 people from the evacuation centers will undergo a BodyTalk Access Outreach. These activities will start on November 22, 2019 at one of the hardest hit-areas - Digos City, Davao del Sur. The training venue will be at the SP Session Hall, SPB Bldg., Jose Abad Street, Digos City.
BodyTalk Access provides the layperson, family and community with a simple set of energy-based techniques to make health maintenance and the management of daily health challenges accessible, especially in crisis situations. Also, a majority of day-to-day health and stress-related concerns can very easily be addressed with the BodyTalk Access routine, when done on a regular basis. BodyTalk Access is based on the comprehensive foundation of the BodyTalk System. Several of the most powerful balancing techniques of the BodyTalk System have been adapted for use by the individual in the home, school, or work environment. These five techniques along with the Fast Aid routine, work together as a set to balance the body in very general ways and the effects are frequently immediately noticeable.
Infrastructure damage is quite extensive in the affected areas and people use tents as temporary shelters. Any support for this campaign is very much appreciated!
