Campaign Story
DarkAge is a medieval Sandbox game, focusing on multiple important factions of the 11th to 14th century.
Our main focus is on building a solid combat system that is easy to learn but hard to master,
besides that, to create a environment that promotes team play and guild creation.
Our goal is to try and immerse players into a truly player driven medieval world, where players will be able to design their own keeps, houses, crafting centers and project their banners across the land, either by diplomacy or by force.
You will be able to rise from peasant to King and fall from King to beggar (git gud).
The key features will be:
-Directional combat with up to 7 directions depending on weapon type!
-Servers with up to 150-200 players!
-Terrain ranging from 6x6 to 8x8 km maps
-Equipable armor, 3 layers deep
-Automated weather mechanics
-Custom building system based on foundations/modules and parts.
-Resource gathering chopping trees/resource mining and farming.
-staoB
-A skill tree system that varies from building to diplomacy and much in between.
-Controllable (by force or politics) regions that are taxable.
-Grand strategy in the terms of region control, Counts/Dukes/Kings
-Mounted combat
-Biomes
-Resource Hotspots (regions with a "plague" mechanic that drop random unique loot usefull for certain items)
-Different factions and cultures, with the first focus on Central-European, Byzantine and Norse/Slavic TBE.
-A dynamic economy comparable to a grand exchange. (Regional trade hubs)
-Guilds and focus on team play.
-Customisable tabards/flags
-Blueprints that can be researched for specific item creation.
-Support to promote modders and content creators to add to their own experience.
The game is still in very early development and some features might be subject to change.
