Campaign Story
This campaign is to raise money for the tuition fees of Amy, a 28 year old Iranian orphan girl who recently moved to Leiden to study Law. She is the victim of politics and discrimination in her path to build a future for herself.
Since she started moving to the Netherlands, the price of foreign currency (€) increased to 4 times of its prior value, leaving her to sell everything she had to be able to obtain a visa and come to pursue her studies in the Netherlands.
Unfortunately, the university did not offer her any support to have scholarships alongside her studies to pay her tuition and due to a health problem (tearing of her left ankle ligament), she cannot take jobs that require standing long hours.
A few days ago, a notice of expulsion came from her university and now she is in desperate need for public aid to pay her tuition and prevent her deportation back to a country in which she has no family and nothing left behind.
Every single euro counts towards remembering « humanity is still alive » and that people are blessed with the compassion and love of other human beings - and that we are all responsible for our blessings, especially those who receive help and pass it on forward.
